get to know the ansari behind the lens

Just a poet with her camera

My name is Sayeeda Ansari ‪❤︎

I come from a pretty big family—3 elder siblings, each with their own wild personalities, and then there’s me. Alhumdulillah for everything. Safe to say, my parents had their hands full, but I bet they wouldn’t trade it for the world.

I got interested in photography when I was about 12, playing around with my dad's 3.2 MP Canon PowerShot.

My mission with ansarilens is simple: documenting love, lovers, and their everyday magic. I can only hope that when words fall short, my camera will tell the story.

BOOK ME

KINDA FUN THINGS ABOUT ME

• Photography runs in my blood; I get it from my dad

• Born & raised in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (the place that I call home)

• Named after my late grandmother <3

• Married my best friend aka hubbon aka Anas: my #1 cheerleader, advisor, critic, chauffeur, bicycling partner, water bottle filler, fave second shooter to work with + cinematographer!

• ONE food for the rest of my life? Without a doubt, my mamma's chicken biryani! Literally drooling just thinking about it right now

• Concerningly obsessed with animals; kittens & polar bears have my heart. (that's why we rescued our kitty, Beanie, from the streets and he now lives with us rent-free)
